I use an integrative therapy approach, drawing from a variety of therapeutic models to meet your unique needs. My work is:
Trauma-informed
Compassion-focused
Collaborative and paced — especially important for those managing chronic illness, fatigue, or pain
Sessions are tailored, relational, and rooted in building emotional safety.
Living with a chronic condition often means navigating exhaustion, uncertainty, and invisible challenges. Therapy can help you:
Support through grief, burnout, and identity shifts
Set realistic, energy-aware goals
Build trust in your body and boundaries
Feel heard, even when your experience is complex or misunderstood
We work at your pace, with the unpredictability of illness in mind.
Medical trauma can result from repeated or distressing health experiences — not just one emergency. It can come from:
Ongoing treatment
Feeling dismissed by healthcare professional
Misdiagnosis or long hospital stays
These experiences can affect your sense of safety, trust in your body, and confidence in seeking care.
👉 I write more about this in my blog: “The Quiet Wounds of Medical Trauma”
You might: Avoid medical appointments, even when you need help Feel anxious, powerless, or ashamed around your illness Have trouble trusting healthcare providers Carry physical symptoms triggered by stress or memories
But it’s not just about what happens in medical environments. Medical trauma can spill over into every part of your life — your confidence, identity, sex life, parenting, work, even something as everyday as driving. It can leave lasting effects on how you relate to your body, how safe you feel in the world, and how you navigate daily life.
These signs are more common than you may think — and they deserve a supportive space.
In our first session, we'll explore your current challenges and discuss your goals for therapy. This is a collaborative space where you can share what's on your mind, and together, we'll determine the best path forward. Whether you're seeking long-term support or addressing specific concerns, this session sets the foundation for our work together.
A Discovery Call is a complimentary 20-minute conversation designed to see if we're a good fit. It's an opportunity for you to ask questions, share what you're experiencing, and understand how therapy might support you. There's no obligation—just a chance to connect and decide if you'd like to proceed.
I provide flexible therapy options tailored to your needs, including:
1:1 Counselling (50 minutes): For ongoing support, exploring personal growth, and working through challenges. These sessions can be conducted online or in person.
1:1 Counselling (1 hour 20 minutes): Longer sessions designed to focus on short-term goals, such as preparing for medical appointments, navigating social situations, or managing decisions around health and work. It’s also suitable if you need a more intensive initial session, especially when addressing complex trauma or deep emotional work.
Discovery Call (20 minutes): A free introductory call where we discuss your needs, answer your questions, and determine if we’re a good fit before starting therapy.
Whether online or face-to-face, I aim to provide a compassionate, safe space to support you—especially if you’re managing medical trauma or chronic illness.
